Organizer, Electronics and Energy Materials Colloquium, UMass Amherst (2018-present)

  • Invite speakers from various universities and schedule seminars at Department of chemistry

  • Organize inter-department meetings for Materials science community to encourage collaborations

Member, Association of Professional Development in Chemistry (2018-present)

  • Hosted Prof. Scott Anderson (Uni. of Utah) for annual Chemistry Dept. Student Hosted Seminar (2018)

 

Member, Pakistan Student Welfare Organization (2014-2016)

  • Collected funds for supporting financially disadvantaged students at primary, secondary and university level

TEACHING ROLES

Teaching Assistant, UMass Amherst (Sept 2016 – present)

 Courses: General Chemistry for Majors and Non-Majors, General Chemistry for Honors

  • Prepared pre-lab lectures and organized lab experiments for a large and diverse group of undergraduates

  • Provided supervision and behavior management in a large class setting

  • Graded lab assignments and mentored students individually

 

Teaching Assistant, LUMS Lahore (Sept 2014 - May 2016)

Courses: Polymer Science and Technology, Inorganic Materials Chemistry, Principles of Chemistry

  • Worked closely with supervising Professor to prepare lessons and evaluate course content

  • Planned lessons and assignments led discussion sections and graded papers and exams (35 grad-students)

  • Conducted review sessions, tutorials and office hours to help undergrads master topics being taught

  • Presented Poster at 5th International Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells and Optoelectronics (2019), EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland.

  • Certificate of Achievement for completing The Business Foundations Series for Scientists and Engineers (2019), UMass Amherst.

  • Presented Poster at Research Fest (2019), UMass Amherst.

  • Mentored two CURE REU program students (2018).

  • Certificate of Appreciation for volunteer work at LUMS O-Week (2014).
